Meet the women changing the way parents shop

As any parent knows all too well, taking your little one shopping to account for their ever-changing growth spurts is hard work, and often results in tears and tantrums - and let's be honest, not always theirs.

Mum of three-year-old Bowie, Lia Kent, knows this all too well.

"Shopping for a toddler often comes with lengthy checklists and routine shopping trips to the same stores, making them uninspiring and far from ideal for busy families," tells Lia.

With another baby on the way, Lia knew there had to be an easier way to shop for clothes for her little ones, without compromising on style or quality.

After quickly discovering that unless you wanted to scroll Instagram for hours on end for ideas and inspiration, or buy from several different online websites and face the hefty shipping costs  - and with no guarantee the pieces would work well together, there were in fact no options for time-poor parents.

Lia, along with friend and business partner, Meg Waldron, also expecting, went on a mission to change that.

Enter Style My Mini

Forging a new niche in the Australian fashion market, the fashion-conscious duo are taking high-value, capsule clothing for kids to fashion-forward families around the nation, changing the way parents shop.

Both women, having forged successful careers in the corporate world, Meg with a background in production, and Lia in brand partnerships, are using their skills and credentials, along with their love for fashion, to bring something unique and in-demand to the kids clothing scene.

"We're all about maximum cuteness with minimum fuss," tells Co-Founder and mum-to-be, Meg. "We're providing consumers with classic, sustainable fashion forward, direct to the door."

Coming in three different sizes, mini, midi and maxi, the bespoke capsules arrive at your door, the maxi with seven items of gender neutral clothing, all with practicality and comfort in mind.

You'll find enough pieces to create a minimum of 10 outfits in the maxi box - perfect for the parent who isn't always up to date with the latest in kids' fashion -  which works out to be a cost-effective $25 per outfit.

"We've done all the hunting for you. It's the new mini fuss way to purchase your on-trend mini's clothing," tells Meg.

Including only all-Australia labels, Style My Mini is at the forefront of breaking new labels and promoting established brands.

Included in their first capsule is a collaboration with talented 11-year-old Byron Bay artist, Miila Bijou.

Miila designed artwork for a t-shirt for Style My Mini, and according to Lia, after seeing the incredible art the budding designer was doing to raise money for the Northern River floods, it was a no-brainer to work with the mini powerhouse.

"Miila is not only extremely gifted, she's also an inspiration; and we couldn't be prouder to put her artwork and flair for style at the forefront of our brand."
